Dundas Harbour
/We started early and went in search of Musk Ox. Up the Fjord and Boy was it cold… A Musk Ox was spied but the water was too shallow to land a party to get close. So back to the boat and then regroup. a second party went out overland, but after a hike of 4 miles The Musk Ox had moved on! so back to the boat. A second boat trip went out along the coast through the icy bits looking for Polar bears on the shoe but nothing was seen. Later in the afternoon to round out the walks a short walk was taken to the old RCMP post here. It was originally settled in the early 30’s to give the Canadians regional authority but after a few murder suicides, It stays dark here a long long time in the winter, they closed it down in the 50’s. Pictures will follow..

We had a great run up Navy Board inlet. We had waited a day to allow the weather to settle in Lancaster Sound. We motored North in to a dying breeze of around 20 knots and by the time we were in Lancaster the breeze had died to 6 knots, the sun was out and we scooted across at 13 knots. We arrived at Midnight and spent an hour Zigging and Zagging Through some brash ice and bits to the entrance. Tough to see into the non setting sun at 0030. However we went right through and anchored in Dundas. There are a few big grounded bergs in here and we need to watch for growlers passing by.
