The last of the Pinta Tortoise's passed away in 2012 but he is still around in Taxidermy form..
It turned out he was Sterile, sadly.
We motored in the early evening across to Santa Cruz to the Roadstead anchorage arriving around 2200.
Next morning we had a very nice trip to the Famed Darwin Center in Pto Ayora and in the afternoon a trip up to the Tortoise Sanctuary in the highlands.

Lovely Sunset this evening. All are happy and we are off to the big city of Pto Ayora a short 3 hour run. Santa cruz tomorrow for the Darwin Center

In the afternoon we took the tender a mile away for a nice walk. There were lots of Pink Flamingos, also White chilean ones ..i goes the shrimp they feed on over there are not Pink...

After a short hike over the small hill to a bay with Everything present..Iguanas (not the crew type) Rays, Sealions and Sharks.. Very cool

These flowers bloom twice for 1 day. !st time bright Yellow and the next day the go Reddy Brown and don't fully open and that is it

In the olden and even recent times. Boats would come here and fill there water casks/tanks collect a few Turtles and Tortoises and then pick up whatever mail was going there way and deliver it for the Sender.. Still the system works although there is lots more mail...
A nice evening for a 50nm sail across. As mentioned the sky was amazing..
